Mayhem and Movement

The idea of being kept in a confined space; high school for me, was like being in a small box at times. When trying to find my individuality, I was constantly shut down by both teachers and peers. Stifled by teachers who tried to dictate their way of thinking on to me instead of allowing me to express my true self. And peers who spoke at a higher volume, not even more intelligently. This artwork represents the frustration and angst I felt in these times and my need to shout out and be heard.
