I love illustration, i’m in this competition so i can study ctca and become an illustrator. It felt fitting that i would illustrate something for my artwork.
Tarot cards hold symbolisim and how they are illustrated carries weight. Its not merely a random design.
The moon’s shimmer on the ocean is in place of the path, a path which leads you to consciousness
The Hermit holds the symbol of Solomon, which signifies great wisdom, his staff is in the shape of enlightenment, both which he achieves through in is solitary.
The Devil has the man and women are chained to the pillar, as they symbolise the pleausre seekers who are chained to their addictions. Being a abusive relationship or a substance.
Death has a crown shape over his halo, to signify that even the kings of countries will have no hold over death. He holds in his hand a white rose, showing that with death, there is beauty and change.

My 5th piece of work is showing that im aiming for a bursary. I wanted to make it a statement and with a select variety of works, what im capable of, not with merely 4 set drawings following a single theme
